Since my Mum was diagnosed with dementia, I decided to see if the idea of reintroducing her to dressing making (she was a dressmaker in her youth) might rekindle her love for sewing.

I'm so proud to say that Mum made many of her children's clothing. I remember having a green swimming costume made for me.

So, I seized the moment to engage my Mum in a sewing project.

Which was to make a little purse.

Here's a little film clip of us making a start..

So far, so good.
